Like any Ratchet & Clank game, Ratchet & Clank 3: Up Your Arsenal has a large amount of weapons for the player to choose from. From rocket launchers to black hole shooters to guns that turn enemies into ducks, it's almost certain you will be spoiled for choice. This page lists all the weapons available in Ratchet & Clank 3 in the order they appear in the Weapons Menu, and each weapon is followed by their upgraded version, if applicable. Please note that the V2, V3 and V4 versions of a weapon are covered in the original article, while the V6, V7 and V8 versions are covered in the upgrade page.
Weapons that have a ¹ on the end are returning weapons from Ratchet & Clank 1, while weapons marked with a ² are weapons that reappear from Going Commando. Weapons marked with a ³ appear in Size Matters, and Multiplayer Weapons get their own section of the list.
Single Player WeaponsEdit
- Up Your Arsenal expanded on the weapon upgrading idea of Going Commando by allowing weapons to reach up to V5 on the first playthrough, and this multi-tiered upgrading formula would continue in every prior Ratchet & Clank title. However, in Up Your Arsenal, many weapons were slow to upgrade, meaning some weapons would be neglected and wind up being not as effective as they could have been in later levels.
- Up Your Arsenal is the only game with multi-tiered upgrading weapons to have the weapon change it's appearance slightly for each upgrade (as well as a final, bigger change when it hit V5). The additions would also usually coincide to a minor functionality gain for the weapon (for instance, if the weapon just got a scope, chances are it also gained the Lock-on Mod). Later games would keep the weapon looking the same until it hit the top level for normal mode (and Constructo Weapons wouldn't even change at all).
